In the beginners course you learned the most fundamental parts of Balboa. In this course you get to improve your technique and add new steps and variations to your social dancing.

You have as a minimum taken a beginners course in Balboa before and learned the Balboa basic with uphold and downhold, Scoots, Paddles, Crabwalk, Come Around, Throwout, Lolly Kicks and Crossbreaks. At one point in your life you felt that you could do these steps well (but perhaps now you might need a recap on some of them).
We will teach a lot of new steps and variations that we don't often see anyone do on the social dance floor in Gothenburg, and also work on basic technique that we all need to practice regardless of level, so even if you are a more experienced dancer than the description above, you will definitely learn a lot from this course. For experienced dancers we also offer good discounts (se below).
500 kr, including fika and VAT. Advance payment is required, payment instructions will be included in the confirmation email that you will receive when you have been admitted to the course.
Discounts: If you have taken our intermediate level course BIC you get 250 kr discount (pay 250 kr).

The course will be held in English if any participant doesn't understand Swedish.
We welcome visitors from other towns to take this course. If you live outside Gothenburg we will try to organize hosting for you with local dancers if you wish so. If you want hosting or if you can host people, check the boxes below and we'll contact you later.
We teach different material each time at the improvers courses, so you can take this level several times and learn new things. When you feel ready for it, you can also take our Intermediate course (preliminarily in the autumn 2009), which goes beyond steps and more into the core of the dance. This spring, WCJ will also offer theme classes which are well suited for following this course.
Use the registration form below to sign up, and you will be admitted on a first come first served basis. You can either sign up alone or with a partner, if you want to get admitted together. We change partners frequently during classes though, so all leaders get to dance with all followers and vice versa.
